Boogie Fever!!

This weekend Blaine and I went down to Boise for our sister-in-law Loni's surprise 50th Birthday Party!!! It had a 70s theme and we were all encouraged to dress up. Blaine looked at a few pictures of his brother Mark during the 70s and decided to start growing the beard. I hit up some thrift stores looking for some good 70s clothing and a leisure suit for Blaine. But man the 70s were so long ago all I could find were good 80s clothes and forget finding something that a big ol pregnant person can fit into. I was telling Sharon (my mother in law) about it and she said well Bruce (my father in law) still has all his stuff from the 70s - finally it pays not to throw things away. We found some sweet clothes and then a wig! Bruce is a retired police officer and back in the day he would wear wigs and do drug busts. Blaine costume was going to be awesome. I just decided to stretch my tie dye shirt around big belly.
The trip down to Boise was really nice. Blaine and I rode with Sharon and we took our time getting down there and just had a nice relaxed trip. With just the three of us we had lots of room so I was able to stay comfortable the whole time, and I only had to stop like every hour to go to the bathroom. We arrived just in time to change and head over to the party.
The party was so much fun!! Loni was so surprised. We had all made her a memory book full of fun memories and our thoughts about what an incredible woman she is! Then they played a slide show of pictures from her life it was fun seeing everyone growing up. Hardly anyone recognized Blaine he pretty much had the best costume there. And then...
the dancing started!!!! That was probably the best part to me, I love dancing and I hardly ever get to. Blaine and I did some country dancing which I could probably work on, but Blaine is really good. That is usually the only kind of dancing that Blaine likes to do because he thinks he has no rhythm and that he can't dance but he came out just to make me happy and don't let him fool you he can dance! I think in the costume he was wearing he was beyond embarrassment and just let it all out. I thought I was going to die laughing it was so much fun!!! I loved it. We stayed that night in Boise and had a nice family breakfast sunday morning and then started the trek back home.
On the way home we passed a sign on the road that said "Cattle in the road ahead" and right around the next corner there really was a herd of cattle in the road with real cowboys driving them. It was like we stepped back in time! haha. The drive home was nice although around hour 4 I was a little over being in car but I made it! Overall it was a really exciting trip, I loved it.

Cows on the road!
